#1 Thing I Love the Most about LA

There are the most beautiful sunsets here, everyday. It makes the sky feel so much bigger and I can't help but to get my camera out every time.

At the Race Tracks

Terra Maya's skulls that don't feel overly-trendy

Marcel deJure's quirky backpacks and dolls

Some shots from the Pink Parlour Festival today at the Santa Anita Race Tracks. Lots and lots of punk rockabilly, skulls and baby supplies. Didn't expect to actually see a horse race but it was a fun surprise. And now, if I could've bought one thing today it would've been these...

Krisztina Varga--I loved all her food jewelry and hope to buy something off her etsy site soon.

Craftsters unite at the Pink Parlour Festival today from 11 to 3. I think it's gonna be a pretty big thing and I'm excited to go even if I have no money to spend.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

My childhood neighbor, Erika Toth, called me up yesterday and hired me to make some large-scale fashion sketches for a web-based TV show she helps put together. I couldn't be more excited to reconnect with her and make some quick cash doing something I love. I won't know for sure what the finished pieces will look like on the set until it airs sometime next week. I drew them on acetate, and later painted, so they can be lit from behind.

This logo is great. You know they got me with the balloons.

Luck O' the Drunk

Missing Savannah today and all these people.

Muttley Mug

Haley and I started a mug collection when we were living together in college and this is the first one I've bought since we moved away and split our collection. Muttley the dog from Wackey Races--a cartoon that aired around the same time as the Jetsons. A dollar well spent.

A Cheap Time Tracker

I refurbished an old cookbook from the dollar bookstore in Burbank into my new time tracker and I love it! New time trackers are so expensive and this way I can have exactly what I want and, because it's a 3-ring binder, I can use it for multiple years if I so desire.

Quality Rubber Stamps made me this today for printing my own business cards.

Stamps From French Monks

I came across an old post on RIFLE about her stamp collection and it reminded me of a hand-full of stamps I bought at a monastery in the south of France in 2007. These are my favorites in the bunch.
