Refurbished an old pillow yesterday using some Ikea fabric I had bought a while back. It reminds me so much of cactus-es, which feels very appropriate for an apartment in California.

Santa Barbara

Drove up the coast yesterday with Than and his parents to Santa Barbara. Great little town with some pretty sites to see.

































A good visual of the 100+ degree weather we were experiencing.



Picked up some fresh strawberries on the side of the road.



Rounded out the day with a stop at Zuma beach on the way home. As soon as we sat down, the sun started setting and a wonderful, cool breeze came through. A great end to the day.

Than's parents are in town and I made some balloons to welcome them. This one was my favorite. It's also the only one managing to hold up in this heat.

Inside the Life of...

Michael Jackson is auctioning off a staggering amount of various items from his Neverland Ranch at Julien's Auction house--next to the Beverly Hilton--starting this past Tuesday and going through to the 25th. We live so close by and it has totally peaked my interest. Of course, you have to pay $20 just to go in but you can view all 6 catalogs online--totaling 1390 Lots! If you can get past the plethora of creepy children art, there's some pretty interesting stuff. I'm going to be posting some of my favorites throughout the week. View them yourself here.
